MEET PAUL

Inspired Leadership for Our School Board

As a loving father of two daughters, ages 3 and 9, I am deeply committed to providing  my children, and all others with the best educational opportunities.  This is why I am running for School Board Director.

I hold a bachelors in civil engineering and graduate studies in public administration from Cornell University, a regulatory affairs certificate from University of Washington, and a law degree from Georgetown. I currently am working in regulatory affairs at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. I will bring a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to effective management to the Board.

Oversight and Accountability

As a Dieringer parent, this past year, I challenged top-down decisions and achieved the reversal of an administrative act to increase class sizes.  The Board resolved to hire a new teacher and reduced class size by two students for every 4th and 5th grade class.  Oversight and impact!

My training and experience equip me with the ability to review complex processes, and to carefully analyze policies, contracts, and data.  Responsible oversight is needed.  Alarming issues are being missed.  I will use my skills to ensure that Board decisions are sound, accountable, and based on real information.

Parent Voices

One of my goals is opening pathways for parents to engage and have their voices heard. Local parent involvement is crucial to the success of our schools.

Listen to our Teachers

Another goal is listening to teachers and classified staff.  We entrust our children to their care and guidance.  It is imperative that leaders understand their perspectives.

Education can transcend boundaries and bridge gaps, providing a pathway to break free from cycles of poverty and inequality.  I understand the transformative power of a well-rounded education.  It takes a village to raise a child.

I am committed to making a positive impact on our district. Join me in my campaign for a seat on the Dieringer School Board. Let's work together to shape a brighter future for our children.

The kids come first!
